My Journey to solve the weight mystery   The Brain and the Stomach, who always wins?    Diet is a four letter word    Economics of Healthy

So, once you get over IF you want to be healthy, next you have to deal with HOW to get healthy.

What do I eat?:

Organic, Organic, Organic.  To start, drop the POP, drop the POP, drop the POP!  No ice cream, no donuts.  No Pizza, unless you make it by hand, once a week I make the best pizza in the world and then I eat it.  I eat steak and burgers, sometimes I miss the hotdogs, I just remind myself the steak and burgers are ten times the quality meat than a hot dog.  I drink water, kool aid with half the sugar, or organic milk.

I eat six times a day!!!!!!! I don’t have time to get hungry. My body says it's getting plenty of fuel so there is no need to store any fat.  Get it?

Breakfast:
2-3 brown cage free, or organic eggs, ¼ lb grass fed organic (first choice), or all natural beef (no hormones, no antibiotics, veggie fed) add a banana for "breakfast desert".

Snack:
Organic Bananas, Pears, Grape Tomatoes (so awesome, so sweet, nice with a little organic ranch dressing), any organic fruit or vegetable that you can eat plenty of.

Lunch:
Black Bean and Pinto Bean refried burrito (beans, salsa, organic greens, grape tomatoes, organic ranch dressing)  This has so much flavor.
You always like chips with it so go ahead snack organic blue corn tortilla chips.  If you research how healthy the Black Bean is for you, it will blow your mind.

Snack:
Anything organic, and if you don’t feel hungry, tough, eat, eat, eat.   You have a “machine” to fuel.

Dinner:
Steak, Burger, Homemade Pizza, Spaghetti with homemade sauce,

Snack:
Organic yogurt with fresh fruit thrown in, oaty o’s or shredded wheat cereal, anything that has no high fructose corn syrup.
I also use organic milk.  I thought I was lactose intolerant, it was just bad milk.

My friends see my new skinny body and they think I am starving.  I ask you, am I starving?

Exercise:
Don’t bother until you lose about 50lbs.  But you should walk.  I guess you could consider walking exercise.  It is amazing how easy it is to do pushups and sit ups when you are 50 pounds lighter.  Your ankles, knees and hips will thank you too.  After you lose 50 or 60 pounds, you will get all kinds of energy and you will NOT be pounding so hard on your joints should you decide to go for a little jog.  Those TV shows where they push severely obese people through excruciating exercises, are just a little sadistic.  I can laugh at my high school gym teacher who tortured the heavy kids with "stomach crunchers", yeah that was the problem, not enough sit-ups.

Body Mind Connection:
When you spend hours at the computer, this produces activity for the brain, but the body just sits there.  That is one symptom of the body/brain disconnect.  Leave the tunes, walking rhythm will transcend to your thought rhythm.  If you find yourself unconsciously walking fast, slow down, you will find your thoughts slow as well.  This is important because you have physical hunger and mental hunger or anxiety.  This puts you in tune with both of them.  It is important that you become aware of which hunger is talking to you at any given time.  It will help put you in control of your appetite and timings.  It’s O.K.  You will eat for both physical and mental hunger.  When you chose the healthy fuel, you do not have to go through the “battle”.  You will not have to deal with the thought, “oh, I shouldn’t eat now”.  Yes eat, eat, eat!  Just eat what is healthy.

You will enjoy eating great food, feeling full, and not experiencing heartburn and gas.

The Popeye Effect, Your New High:
Adults; you know how fast a shot of whiskey hits you and how quickly the effects take place?  Well, when your body doesn’t have to fight pesticides, herbicides, preservatives, and hormones, it can take in the healthy stuff right away as well.  If you are really “in tune” with your body, you will feel the “Popeye effect” from those healthy foods.

Fountain of Youth?  Pretty hefty claim.
When your body has to carry an additional 100 pounds of fat, it takes a lot of energy.  When your body has to process poisons and toxins it takes a lot of energy.  When you remove the fat and the toxins, you have amazing energy.  You feel 20 years younger!  You may not look it with all the extra skin, you "human shar-pei" you, but you will feel it!

Less Stress?
The cold chilling fact that will wake you up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night is that the brain is the first organ affected by the food you eat.  It is just a simple logical fact that your brain works better when it is not loaded with salt, fat, and sugar.  You can make better decisions.  You are less susceptible to depression.  You can handle more tasks in a day.  Another reason for less stress is the fact you lower your sugar levels dramatically.  Generally if someone is having a dramatic "episode" it can also be referred to as a "low blood sugar moment".

Change your food, change everybody's food:
When you find your favorite food at the store and it is on sale, buy two, you have to send a message to the store that the new consumer wants the new food.  Get ready for some huge changes at your grocery store.  Thousands of people everyday are waking up and saying "no more" to putting poisons in their body.  The stores have to keep up with the new consumer demand.

With a little work you can map out your own food for the day, and not be at the "corporate mercy".  If you think about it, you should be responsible for the food you put in your mouth.  You just need to take a little more control, make a couple changes, and it will be easy when you see how good you start to feel.  You can pack and carry all the food you need for a day, and not have to look for a "healthy drive through".  I will be surprised if I live long enough to see a fast food place produce a "grass fed burger/organic egg/whole wheat tortilla wrap", but if they want the new consumer it would not be a bad idea.

Best of luck to you, Best of food to you, this is your life we're talking about, later...
